Giving honor to God, my hunting partners and I had a very successful hunting season. I took pictures of a few hunts this year but I didn't on a lot of them. I finished the year with 88 rabbits harvested which was 10 less than the year before. My dogs along with some of my partners dogs ran execellent this year. The weather was a little warm again this year and we didn't get the chance to hunt all day in the last month of the season. I'm not complaining about this wonderful weather we're having but I choose not to hunt and kill rabbits in warm weather due to the fact that the does are being bred and some of them already have little ones. If the Lord's willing and the creek don't rise, I'll be back to hunt them next year. So guys if you value rabbit hunting as I do, let them reproduce and let's go at them next year. I hunted with a lot of different hunters this year and we always had good and safe hunts. I also met some new land owners and they were very impressed and appreciative of how our dogs ran rabbits and didn't run any deer and how we conducted ourselves. The guys have already extended the invitation to continue to hunt their land in the upcoming seasons. SAFETY is first and foremost in our minds when we go hunting. Now that the 2011-2012 Rabbit Season has ended, I'm gearing up for the upcoming Field Trials. Guys take care and give me a call or email me so we can talk rabbit hunting. I hope all the rabbit hunters had a successful hunting season as we did.
