LEONARD'S RUN 'EM DOWN KENNELS

On 28 May 2011, the Montgomery Beagle Boys hosted the first cook-out of the year.  We had a great turnout and it was a total success.  I want to give thanks to God who made this event happen as it did.  I also want to thank the guys that supported the event ie..cleaning up, preparing food, cooking food and most of all hosting the event.  Tony Russell hosted the cook-out at his home in Montgomery, AL. 

We started preparing for the event about a month ago and believe me you must start at least a month in advance if you want everything to turn out like you want it.  Like I said before, none of this was possible without God and the help of all the guys that pitched in.  Special thanks to John Rocker, Jesse Sanderson, Bobby DeJarnett, Gerregous Russell and Wade Jones.  These guys put in a few extra hours to ensure that the cook-out went according to plan.

In attendance were rabbit hunters from:  Montgomery, Talladega,Hurtsboro , Chambers Co, Valley, Hope Hull and Georgia.  We had a blast but the one thing I failed to do was take pictures of all the food and people that were there.  We cooked 15 slabs of ribs, 25 pounds of chicken (chicken wings, whole chickens and drum sticks), baked macaroni and cheese, potato salad, baked beans, fried catfish and shrimp and also barbecued a coon. About 75 people were in attendance on Saturday.

We missed one hunter in particular and that was Mr. JE Edwards.  JE is still not doing to good .  He has been in the hospital for some time now and we are praying everyday for his health and strength.  Guys let's say a prayer for JE wishing him well and a recovery from his surgeries.
